team of Six experts from Pune and Ahemdabad visited NICIT on 17th December
2006,The members were:

2) One Week Training Programme for TATA SKY Employees.
One Week training Programme was organized by TATA SKY for their employees from 19th Dec to 23rd Dec 2006.This was their twenty seventh regular batch of 25 employees conducted at NICIT for 5 days from 10 am to 5 pm.
3) Two days Training Programme on "Zero Defect Soldering" by EQDC.
Two days training programme on "Zero Defect Soldering" was conducted by EQDC at NICIT Conference Hall for 30 members on 27th and 28th of December 2006.
4) New Batch for In-Plant Training starting from 8th January 2007.
In plant Training (Industrial Training) in Embedded systems, SATCOM & IT for four months duration is scheduled to start from 8th January 2007. More than 40 students of different streams of EC/IC/CE and IT have already enrolled. Both academics and latest advanced projects are provided with special emphasis on Additional Focus comprising of communication skills, soft skills, personality development, hands on PC Internet and Career Guidance.
5) NICIT-SCT(India) Pvt. Ltd. approved as sub centre of Pune University, For certificate course in Embedded Systems Design.
6) Visit of Mr. Bhaskara Narayana, Director, Satcom, ISRO on 9th January 2007.
7) Visit of Prof. Satish Kumar Soni, Educational Consultant from 20th January - 23rd January 2007.
8) Visit of Mr. John Mc Loone (Sales Director) and Mr. Trevor Salter Service Manager , Horizon Inc. UK, on 25th January 2007.
9) Industrial visit of 25 students and their faculty of ITI Gandhinagar on 19th February 2007.
10) One week training program was conducted for TATA Sky employees from 8th January to 12th January 2007 and 16th February to 21st February 2007.
11) All India Entrance Test of Pune University, Deptt. of Electronics ,for Certificate Course in Embedded System Design on 4th -5th August 2007, Last date for Application is 2nd August 2007,Cource Commences from 13th September 2007.
12) Visit ot Tata BP Solar Executives.
a) Tata BP Solar Executives visited NICIT on 30th April 2007.
b) A distinguished team of four members including Mr K Subramanya, CEO Tata BP Solar, Mr Anjan Gosh, GM, Sales & Marketing, M. Natarajan, Deputy DGM, Engineering Network, and Mr. Mehul, Senior Executive Sales visited NICIT on 4th May 2007. NICIT in collaboration with Tata BP Solar is going to organize corporate trainings and product demonstration setup at NICIT.
13) A team of 56 students and their faculties of EC Department from Surat Engineering College visited NICIT on 6th April 2007.
14) About 75 students and three faculties of ITI, Gandhinagar visited NICIT on 7th March & 23rd March 2007.
15) Regular Batches of Tata Sky training were conducted on the following dates, from 1st -3rd March, 23rd -26th March and 31st March-4th April 2007.
16)Seminars & Workshops conducted at NICIT.
a) A Seminar on Embedded System was conducted on 5th March 2007. Experts from various industries were invited to deliver lectures including trainees from Sahajanand Laser Technology.
b) A seminar cum workshop was conducted on 2nd May 2007 on CAS AND DIGITAL HEADEND. This was sponsored by MCBS, CELRUN, IRDETO, and MAGNAQUEST. This was attended by more than 60 leading cable operators from all parts of Gujarat.
