Department of Electronic Science (DOES) is an integral part of this esteemed university working on the design and fabrication aspects of microelectronics since it's inception in 1984. Development of a Procedural Layout Design Language (PLDL), embedded systems design, Printer interface ASIC design, microelectronics process simulators and two dimensional device simulators including hot career and quantum effects for short channel MOSFETs, FPGA based Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) for Electronic Nose and automatic target tracking are among the notable activities of the department in this field. Fabrication of various sensors using semiconductor processing techniques has also been realized here.

Integrated Circuit and Information Technology  designed by the Department of Electronics Science has been entrusted with ICIT Pvt. Ltd. under a Memorandum of Understanding the importance of providing proper training to a larger number of students, ICIT has now started venturing out and adding a large number of ICIT Sub Centers. This will provided a unique opportunity to a large number of students located away from Pune. Admission process for enrolling students for following courses commencing from 14th of September 2009 will be as under:

. Certificate course in Embedded System Design

01.  There will be common entrance test scheduled on 30.08.2009 from 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at Pune and Ahmedabad.
02.  Application form available at our Pune and Ahmedabad centres and on our website.
03.  Application and Entrance Examination fee Rs.500/- and first installment of Rs.2000/- to be paid in cash or by demand         draft favouring ICIT Pvt. Ltd. payable at Pune and sent with application. Student who wishes to apply for more than one         course shall submit only one Demand Draft of Rs.2500/- in favour of “ICIT PVT.LTD.
04.  Applicant’s name and full address must be mentioned on the reverse of demand draft.
05.  The names of the successful students will be displayed at ICIT Pune and on its website within a week from the date of         entrance test.
06.  Student who has paid the first installment of Rs.2000/- but does not appear for the entrance test will be given refund of         Rs.2000/-.
07.  Student who has appeared for the entrance test and is successful but is not given admission due to limitation of         number of seats, will be given refund of Rs.2000/-.
08.  Student whose name appears in the merit list but does not accept the admission will not be given refund of the first         installment.
09.  Student who has paid first installment of Rs.2000/- and second installment of Rs.8000/- and does not pay third         installment (balance fee), will not be given refund of first and second installment.
10.  From 07.09.2009, waitlisted students will be given preference for vacant seats. (vacant due to non receipt of second         installment from listed students)
11.  Refund of fees wherever applicable as above will be made after 14.09.2009.
